What a wonderful time I had with all my team mates. We were giddy with the challenge and fun of trying to do our best on the track.

Steve Lafler is a grumpy middle aged runner. A high school standout and college mid-pack guy in the mile/1500, Steve now prefers the Half Marathon/Marathon distances. In his day job he is a cartoonist and painter.

I started competing as a high school freshman in 1972. I ran my first half marathon in 2015, and my first marathon in 2019 at age 62. Running and competing is still huge fun to me!
